General terms and conditions - Grå Gåsen (Swedish)

We are so happy that you have chosen to stay with us! Grå Gåsen is a family-owned boutique hotel in southern Gotland, and we do our very best to make you feel comfortable. Here you will find our general terms and conditions - not to be complicated, but to make everything as clear and safe as possible for both you and us.

1. booking & payment

Your booking is only confirmed when it is paid. Payment is made via our partner Stripe, where you can choose from several secure payment methods such as cards and Klarna.

We recommend that you pay via our secure online payment solution. For Swedish guests, it is also possible to pay by Swish if you prefer - email us in that case and we will help you further.

Please double-check that the booking confirmation is correct - let us know straight away if anything looks wrong and we'll sort it out together.

2. cancellation

We understand that plans can change, and always try to be as helpful as possible. Our regular cancellation policy is:

  • 28 days or more before arrival: full refund

  • 15-27 days before arrival: 50% of the amount will be refunded

  • 14 days or more before arrival: 100% of the booking amount will be charged

Should we manage to rent the room to someone else, we will of course do our best to be generous. We always try to find a solution.

Please note that special cancellation conditions apply to group bookings of 8 people or more, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3. Checking in and out

Check-in from 16:00. Check-out no later than 12:00. Early/late check-in/out subject to availability.

4. Breakfast & Restaurant

Breakfast is usually served from 08:00 to 10:00.
The restaurant is open from Midsummer to the end of August, other times on special occasions.

5. Smoking & pets

Non-smoking hotel. Smoking allowed outside in designated areas.
Some rooms allow pets - please contact us in advance.

6. Damaged or lost items

Guests are responsible for damage caused by negligence.
We are not responsible for valuables - please contact us if you want to lock something up.

7. room guarantee

If we cannot offer the booked room, an equivalent or better one will be offered free of charge.

8. force majeure

In the event of circumstances beyond our control, bookings may be changed or canceled without compensation.

Your booking will be considered confirmed once payment has been received, securely via our partner Stripe - by credit card or Klarna.

We recommend our secure online payment, but Swedish guests can alternatively pay by Swish - please contact us by e-mail if you wish to do so.

Please check your booking confirmation and contact us immediately if anything is wrong.

2. cancellation

- 28 days or more before arrival: full refund
- 15-27 days before arrival: 50% refund
- 14 days or less before arrival: 100% of the booking amount will be charged

If we can sublet the room, we will be happy to accommodate you. Please just contact us.

3. check-in & check-out

Check-in from 16:00. Check-out by 12:00. Early/late check-in/out subject to availability.

4. breakfast & restaurant

Breakfast is usually served from 08:00-10:00.
Our summer restaurant is open from midsummer to the end of August; other times on request.

5. smoking & pets

Grå Gåsen is a non-smoking hotel. Smoking is only allowed in designated outdoor areas.
Some rooms are pet-friendly - please contact us in advance.

6. damage & lost property

Guests are liable for damage caused by negligence.
We do not accept liability for valuables - contact us if you want to keep anything safe.

7. room guarantee

If we are unable to provide the room booked, we will offer an equivalent or better room at no extra charge.

8. Force majeure

In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to change or cancel bookings.
