Ascension Day Weekend at Grå Gåsen (May 15–17)
During Ascension Day weekend, we invite you to Winemakers Weekend at Grå Gåsen – a weekend where Gotland ingredients meet wines from Långmyre Vineri, one of the island's most exciting wineries, where the winery itself is just a stone's throw away from us and the farm is a bike ride away.
This is the third year in a row we've spent this weekend together, and it has quickly become a cherished tradition for us.
Långmyre is literally around the corner from Grå Gåsen, and winemakers Emma and Andrea are good friends of ours here in the village. This makes the evening extra personal—more like gathering around the table with neighbors and friends than a formal wine event.
The weekend culminates in our Winemakers Dinner on Saturday evening. We will be serving a four-course dinner, with each course designed to harmonize with wines from Långmyre. Emma and Andrea will be with us throughout the evening, telling us about the vineyard, the cultivation, and the work behind each bottle—from the Gotland limestone soil to the glass on the table.
But the weekend isn't just about dinner. May in southern Gotland is one of the most beautiful times of the year. The landscape is green and peaceful, the sea is always close by, and the pace is a little slower. Here, there is time for walks by the sea, saunas, and hot tubs—or a long, leisurely breakfast.

Want to extend the weekend?
Many guests choose to arrive as early as Thursday to extend their Ascension Day weekend. You can easily add an extra night when you book for just 1,500 SEK per room. Please also let us know if you’d like to stay just one night—we’ll be happy to arrange it.
Winemakers Dinner – Saturday evening at 6:30 p.m.
The evening begins with us gathering in the restaurant where Emma or Andrea from Långmyre Vineri will present the evening's wines. During dinner, a four-course menu will be served, featuring Gotland ingredients carefully selected to complement the wines.
For dinner, you can choose between a full wine package or a smaller tasting package.
